There's a weird noise just outside your window.

Want to go see what it is?]

[He sure does! He sure does. Lookin'. Not trying to hide or anything, there's like ... no indication there's anything dangerous here. Also he has darkvision (maybe) so.]

[silentscout]

[Nothing dangerous! Just someone trying to scramble up the side of the dorm. It might be a bit of a jumpscare though because as soon as Molly goes to the window Lalli's face pops into view, as he's pulling himself up on the window ledge. He wasn't specifically looking in the window or anything, but it's hard to miss a purple man right there.]

[headmt]

[He does, in fact, jump back about two feet - holding his hands to his belt and ... not finding anything there. But that's fine. He recognizes the face after a second, blinking. And then going to open the window.]

. . . Watcha doin'?

Climbing.

[He says that like it should be obvious.]

Checking the third floor windows.

You're jumpy.

Can you blame me? Most people here who surprise me are taking a swing at my face.

[Stepping back. He can? Come into the room if he wants. or if he just wants to chill on the window sill that's fine too.]

Why? Your face does not look particularly punchable. You can just headbutt them and hurt them more than they hurt you.

[Lalli, imagining Molly's head is like a ram's head. Probably has something to do with the horns.

At the offer, Lalli peeks into the room.]

It's not my dorm?

[That's his way of asking if it's okay for him to go in.]

[headmt]

[He reaches up to tap a horn.]

You know they're attached to my skull, right?

[Stepping aside, motioning out in a come in gesture like you'd use at the front door. Instead of a window.]

Don't see any Dorm Head around to stop me.

That's the point.

[He sees a lack of Dorm Head here though, so he will climb in through the window. He looks around for a bit before speaking again.]

This looks more normal than Fall dorm.

[headmt]

Kind of plain, yeah?

[But, cozy enough.]

What's Fall like? Haven't been able to finagle my way in yet.

If you want to come over I can let you in. There's red and leaves everywhere, and the blankets are warm.

[headmt]

Can't say I'm not curious.

[He looks around though, and then sits down on one of the bunk beds.]

It's a roof and a bed though. Hard to complain too much. Better than I get most nights.

Mmm. It's nice to not be sleeping outside, yes. No risk of rain in here.

[He is. Far too used to it.]

Exactly! No rain, no mud, no kidnappings in the middle of the night.

Take it you're a bit of a wanderer too then?

No. Wanderer implies no destination. I always had a destination.

That so? And where's that destination?

Into the Silent World to find someone, and then I'm going right back-

[Well there's a lot of words there that he doesn't recognize, but from context the last two are obviously just Places. But the Silent World? Ominous. Fancy terminology for a different plane maybe?]

Ah- Silent World?

[The obvious answer. He's not avoiding answering or anything though, it's actually that he doesn't realize Molly is asking him to elaborate.]

[Luckily he's decent enough at reading people to see that it isn't avoidance as much as a very literal response to the question, so,]

Haven't heard of that one. Or Sweden. Sounds-- Well, frankly a little spooky. Another plane or something?

[plane...]

There's planes sometimes in the Silent World, I guess? They're all crashed and ruined.

But the Silent World is 'spooky', that's where all the Trolls live.

Week 1, Wednesday

[silentscout]

[I'm assuming this is going to be before Debate Night, so.

Lalli is outside, walking near the library, heading towards the dorms. He doesn't seem to be up to much, but he is looking around, so he can easily see whatever Molly is up to today.

What are you doing, Molly?]

[headmt]

[He's just vibing. He's holding books! Which is kind of unusual for Molly, a person who doesn't read. If he spots Lalli, he'll shift them and raise his hand to wave him down.]

Hey.

[silentscout]

[He almost doesn't realize what is wrong with that, but then he suddenly remembers: Molly can't read.]

...why are you carrying those?

[headmt]

Fun. Profit.

[He checks over Lalli for anything he's carrying, sticking his arms out like ... want to add it to the pile.]

[silentscout]

[Lalli is carrying a plate with a burger on it.

He looks at Molly's stack, takes the meat off of the burger, and then puts the plate on top of the stack of books.

And then he starts eating the meat patty.]

W2 - WEDNESDAY

[headmt]

[Sometime after fanfiction shenanigans, Molly is wandering around the orchard - he's stolen an apple off one of the trees, and upon spotting Lalli, he'll just toss the other apple to him.]

Lalli.

[silentscout]

[Lalli is nearby at the orange trees, and thankfully someone taught him to peel the rind off first, so he's not just eating a wholeass orange.

He does shift his orange slices to one hand as he uses the other to catch the apple Molly tosses at him though.]

Hi. Hungry?

[headmt]

[He shrugs, but he's still eating the apple.]

Just passing the time.

[silentscout]

Mmm.

[He's going to finish up his orange before he eats the apple Molly gave him.]

Outside of classes, there's not much to do during the week.

Week 3, Monday

[Hi Molly, hope you were ready to start your day off with memory sharing! because that sure is a memory! (from page 726 to 734)

Also jsyk at this point both Emil and Lalli know a smattering of each other's languages, but not enough for either to fully understand what the other is saying. So most of what Emil says on those pages does not translate when the memory is shown.]

He really was stupid.

[headmt]

[Molly seems a bit jolted whenever one of these memories happens, and this one is no different - difficult to feel yourself pulled into the mind of someone else, to feel what they feel during it. This is ... melancholy, lonely, hard to grasp exactly why. Being chattered at in a language you don't understand isn't an unfamiliar thing either.]

... Was?

Mmm, was.

[Wait for it...]

He still is stupid, but not nearly that stupid. Usually.

[headmt]

[A bit of relief at that, actually.]

... That's good. Good to hear it was the stupidity that changed. Friend of yours?

Mhmm. Emil. I'm supposed to be traveling with him, but he's not here.

week 6, post-reunion

[silentscout]

[He had told Kon he would wait a bit longer to try talking to everyone he pissed off at the trial, but with everyone gathering in one spot to reunite with the dead it's kind of hard to specifically avoid people. So at some point he's going to end up standing awkwardly near Molly.]

[Leave him alone, he'll say something when he's ready to talk, there's still a little more time left-]

...should I wait longer?

[headmt]

[Molly will glance over when Lalli comes nearby, a little wary at first - but maybe of himself more than Lalli - but he softens when hears the thought go through his head.]

Nah. You're alright. Should talk.

[silentscout]

Mmkay.

[Even then, Lalli hesitates for a bit first. Where should he even start?]

[He nods at that, uncrossing his arms and hooking his thumbs into his coat pockets instead.]

Apology is always the best place to start, I think.

Suppose in turn, I'll apologize for handling you a bit rough. Probably wasn't necessary.

There wasn't a lot of time left and a lot happened at once, I don't blame you for it.

[Even if it did surprise him, and being punched by Beau hurt.]
