What even is the purpose of this thing?

Moats are supposed to protect things. What is this moat protecting?

What does that need to be protected from? It's just a wall.

Maybe it's...a special wall?

[Lalli's emotions are similar, with a touch of frustration at not being able to figure it out, plus everything seems to be filtered through some sort of fog. It's like his emotions aren't as strong.]

It does have weird colored bumps on it. Maybe that's what makes it special.
