[ the rat shack man was really testing me tonight but i'm going to start this pc or so help me

anyway leo's in the kitchen! he's cooking! there is the wonderful aroma of spice wafting from the kitchen. maybe that's what drew lalli here...? ]

Hey, man! Come for the tacos?

Lalli is in the general area because he's looking for something, but the smell absolutely catches his attention and gets him to go right into the kitchen. Spices aren't completely unknown to him- they have things like salt, pepper, ginger, and cinnamon- but this is something new entirely.]

Depends. What are tacos?

[He's trying to be cool about it, but he actually is curious and is coming over to peer at the pans Leo is using.]

Oh, man, I am about to blow your mind. Tacos are the food of my people. You're not vegetarian by any chance, are you?

I don't know how to take care of animals, and I don't like that you're asking about that right now.

[He is LOOKING SUSPICIOUSLY AT THE FOOD NOW]

What? No, it's just - I can cook a vegetarian version if you don't eat meat. It's got nothing to do with taking care of animals?

[He does relax slightly after that.]

No, I eat meat. Mostly sheep and fish.

Cool, cool. You good with beef, then?

[ don't mind him just tossing in some spices and also some sliced peppers ]

Week 1, Thursday

[This is before the chaos of everyone flooding in from CYOAs, because he got lectured after that whoops.

But yeah Lalli is free of the bee suit and has put on the school uniform again, except that uniform is itchy and uncomfortable. So even as he walks he's tugging at it to try and make it more comfortable. Which means he's going to complain to the first person he sees, which happens to be Leo.]

How do people wear these when they're so itchy?

You either wear it or you get kicked out. Sometimes people customize them so it's not so bad, but usually, I choose getting kicked out.

I knew there was a reason I never went back to school.

[They don't even have uniforms at the school he would have gone to.

But itch itch itch and he accidentally pulls down his sleeve slightly, and Leo can catch a quick glance of the word 'WATER' written in glowing ink on his wrist.]

Or you could just go to a school that doesn't do uniforms, but I wouldn't recommend that, either.

[ he sees! the word! and it actually does catch his interest, because well - ]

[ holding up his arm, where the words burning someone circle his wrist like a really messed up bracelet. ]

[OH BOY THOSE WORDS]

...yes. I haven't seen anyone else with them yet, so I thought I was the only one.

'Burning someone'? Are you a Cleanser?

[ it is friday and i actually just thought of something that would suit leo better but it's too late now (pensive) ]

I've seen one or two, but I don't know what makes us all so special. And I'm gonna say - probably not? Is that like a janitor, or what?

week 3, tuesday.

[ i’m running out of steam on starters idk where they are, mabel, but i can assure you it’s somewhere warm. maybe the kitchen? the library? Idk.

anyway when leo spots lalli and attempts to greet him, they get a memory instead... weird how that keeps happening, huh. ]

[silentscout]

[Oh my god this memory.

Lalli. Really doesn't know what to think about it. This is a side of Leo he's never seen before. And even if it's an act- he thinks it's an act, to fool that vain man- it's still Something.]

Hey, no judging! I did what I had to do to get those nymphs’ attention! And it worked, didn’t it?!

[A pause.]

Why did you need their attention?

The shield that Narcissus kept staring at his reflection in was made of a metal called celestial bronze, which is really hard to find in the wild. And we had to repair some stuff on my ship, so we needed it. And the first step was to draw his attention away from staring at it, you know?

Oh. That makes sense. It's good you were able to do that without dying.

week 7, saturday.

[ i'm assuming we still have a kitchen even if it's all sketchy right now, so. that's where leo is! he's come for a snack, and when he sees lalli, he'll just toss an extra that way. catch!

What a day, huh? At least it should be over soon.

[ he is so tired. ]

[Honestly Leo is valid, Lalli is coming looking for snacks too. Time to catch a banana! Which Lalli is going to stare at, he's never had a banana before.]

Pretty soon, yeah. Don't know if that's going to be difficult or not.

Hopefully not, but when is it ever easy?

[ honestly leo will probably go for something unhealthy like doritos because he is a gremlin. ]

I'm just tired of this story yanking us all around.

That should be over at least, right? Since we killed the story today.

It's not really dead until Sakyou and the others get their vengeance, apparently.

[ dryly, because he is so exhausted after all that arguing over it. ]

Just as long as it never comes back for a sequel, I guess.

[Lalli did not participate in the fight either, he just wants it gone.]
