Not necessarily, but having you do it makes it faster. [ anyways, him saying that means that he immediately decides to just let the first egg plop into the bowl. he grabs another to replace it, hands him an egg. ]

[I'm going to say he actually knows the 'use the egg shell to separate white and yolk' trick because he probably is used to watching people cook. While Kon gets two more eggs, the remaining two get separated just as Kon wanted.
