Week 0, Sunday

[Hey Kon.

There's a cookie thief in the kitchen.

No really, someone is crouched down low behind a counter or something and is trying to discreetly reach up and grab an entire plate of cookies.

It's no secret who it is, Lalli's clothes are distinctive. so what will Kon do with this thief?]

[ well.

he'll watch, at first, just standing there with his left hand on his hip as he sees a hand slowly creep up towards the plate.

but after a beat, he reaches out, pulling it quietly, just out of reach. just to see if he can get lalli to show himself. ]

Week 1, Thursday

[Lalli is! Carrying a plate! Because Kon looked kind of rough and comfort food is obviously the best thing when you're hurt.

It takes him a bit to track Kon down, but eventually he finds him in the library.]

[ since he can't sit in a chair normally, and he's escaped from his dorm for long enough to Do Things, kon is sitting backwards in a chair, straddled as he tries to copy down a few things before he's forced back to the dorm.

he does look up at lalli, then down for a beat, like he's refocusing his eyes. after that, he looks back up. ]

Hey, Lalli. Getting in some reading before we're marched in for curfew?

Week 2, post-trial

To explain things better:

While the trial was happening, I felt the strong need to touch your abs. It's been happening all week, it's nothing special.

But I went for your hair because that is more normal.

So don't be weird about it.

[This is all sent out in one large block of a message, and it has clearly been edited several times before being sent. Because like hell is he talking about this in person, he still can't show his face to anyone.]

kon needed this laugh, but also? ow, he can't laugh that much, lalli. ]

it's ok, lal. this place does weird things to people.

Week 2, Sunday

[Lalli has Reasons to be in the library, so that's where he'll be! He's not carrying any books yet though, but is instead looking for people who are in the library. Which means he'll find Kon.

But instead of saying hi like a normal person, he'll just walk over and sit down at Kon's table. He doesn't sit like a normal person either, he's sitting with his feet in the chair and his knees up at his chest.]

...hi.

[ ... kon should really question why he's used to people being weird in his vicinity. he'll put blame on his dormmates, mostly, but he just looks up from the book that he's thumbing through when lalli comes over.

he sweeps it over to the next page, slowly, sitting back a little from where he was hunched forward with the spine of the book against the edge of the table. ]

... hi Lal. What's up?

Week 3, Monday

[This one is going to start out as a text, because yes.]

Week 3, Friday

[Well. That was an investigation.

Not that Lalli did much because injuries keep him from investigating, but still.

He can be found outside Winter dorm, waiting on the porch. At some point Kon has to either enter or exit, so that's a good place to wait for him right?

...he is absolutely shivering while he waits too.]

[ kon is... so tired.

he didn't even go out to investigate, but the moment that the dorm cleared out and waited for the investigations to conclude, he was sat staring at his phone. waiting. waiting for the report of who it was.

seeing molly and crow, it's a lot. he thinks of beau, he thinks of their entire dorm, and he's livid. he knew someone would die from winter eventually, but it's - it's just a lot. so he has to walk it off, go looking for beau for a little while. (he won't find her until much later.)

and now, lalli is outside of winter. there's a beat, and then he speedwalks over towards the steps. ]

Lalli, why the hell are you outside after being on a trip? How long have you been sitting there? [ CONCERN ]

Week 4, Monday

I need to make something and I don't know how to. Are you available to help me in the kitchen?

if it's the kitchen, i can make pretty much anything.
what're you making? i'll head over there.

Week 4, post-trial

[silentscout]

[This is happening like. Immediately after the trial.

Because Lalli is going to try to drag Kon with him when it's time to leave. Wherever they go, they can go together.]

[ the grief here is immaculate, really, and kon just watches catra carry adora off with absolute misery in every line of his body.

but lalli pulls, and he follows, getting up to his feet with very little prompting and immediately putting his arm around him. it's easy to keep pace, to haul them both out of there - if anyone else knows what's good for them, they'll leave the echo chamber that is the gym, too. ]

week 5, wednesday

[ much earlier in the day, so they have time to spare for the afternoon: ]

if i had a surprise and wanted to show up at your door, would i say kolkutin, koputtaa, or kop kop to knock?

[Oh, those Wednesday mini-events.]

I would wonder why you're going up to a door and saying 'doorknocker' to be let in. 'Kop Kop' is fine.

You're picking it up that fast?

[He saw that book, Kon.]

Week 5, Wednesday

[Continuing from here, this is these two idiots stumbling over to Fall dorm while tipsy. It's probably only for a quick trip but I love these dumb idiots.

Just being around Kon though, it helps Lalli loosen up immensely. And while he's never going to be as free about his smiles as some people are, he's still giving away how happy he is in the moment. It just takes a bit more decoding to understand his feelings.]

C'mon, nobody's going to be here right now.

[ kon can guess that manwol probably ran off to somewhere that isn't fall dorm, given the fact that she would be pursued there if she did. so he's pretty easygoing in making their way there, freeing his right arm once they're far away enough from other people to make sure lalli stays balanced whenever he's a little more stumbly.

he's probably fine, he's a cat. ]

I'm coming, I'm coming. [ of course he is. nowhere else he'd rather be right now, in this hellspace school. ]

week 5, thursday

[ wow so many early in the day texts this week ]

heads up - winter dorm is doing a haunted house, and iris is working on the makeup now.
(whole point of it is for people to go inside and be scared for fun / do a test of courage, basically.)
she got reeeaaally into it. some of us are getting the zombie treatment, which look a little like trolls in a lot of ways, so i wanted you to know ahead of time.
just in case you got curious about the signs that we're sending denji to put up right now.

[ this is like, maybe with an hour or so to spare before lockdown starts. the entire day has passed, the field trip group(s) returned. and lalli just gets a text out of nowhere. ]

Outside.

[He's actually sitting on the roof of Fall dorm, but he's on the side that faces Winter dorm. Because he's watching over it with faint hope while he waits for them to get kicked into lockdown.]

Week 5, Friday

[After he sees the names of who died, Lalli is going to be lingering outside the dorms, waiting for a certain someone to show up. He's not on the roof this time either, he's on the ground like a normal person.

When Kon shows up (whenever that is), Lalli will wordlessly walk over to fall in step next to him, because he intends on being wherever Kon is.]

...hi?

[He's also waiting to see if Kon is having a lucid moment or not, before he says anything further.]

[ it's sometime in the afternoon that he's leaving, considering he's LEAVING HIS RUDE DORM AND NEVER COMING BACK, HE IS TRANSFERRING. (he is not but there was bullying happening in the dorm chat of me, personally.) his right arm is tucked in like usual, carried by the strap sling since he doesn't have anything to support it otherwise, and he is -

well, kon is certainly displeased. there's none of that frustrated confusion, and when lalli comes to join him, he slows if only so that they can wind up falling in step. not like lalli wouldn't be able to keep stride with him, but he'd been setting a quick pace with the intent to just. go. ]

Hi. [ bumping the back of his hand into his. ] I'm here right now.

Week 5, post-trial

[Lalli is one of the first to leave the gym, because he can't stand how stifling it is.

But he's not going far. Just to the shadowy part of the building, so he can watch people leave without being seen. Because when Kon eventually leaves, he's going to try to go up to him and grab the front of his shirt.]

[ that's fine - he's one of the first people out, after that, and doesn't seem very surprised. ]

Week 5, Sunday

[This is much later in the night. He's giving Kon plenty of time to take care of Beau and Winter dorm things first.]

Week 6, wednesday

[Well after the group meeting, Lalli is going to text Kon.]

This is really difficult to talk about without it getting weird, so I am texting you first because it is easier to write my thoughts out this way.

[Well. He's certainly wordier over text, yeah.]

[ this makes him laugh a little, despite the way he hates this. ]

Week 6, Thursday

[Lalli won't submit Kon to his usual 'scratch at the door to be let in' routine, since Kon is so very hurt right now. Instead, once he reaches Winter dorm, he'll text Kon.]

If you're close to a window I can get in that way too.

[ there's a few minutes' pause, and then one of the windows opens up. ]

[ weird, how kon's in the health office? he doesn't want to use the supplies in winter's first aid kit, at least not more than he already has, and he's currently... bandaging up his knuckles?

the air around him is just tired, bone deep and angry, but frustrated and listless at the same time. like it doesn't truly have an outlet, and he's tried to find something to do with it, but wasn't able to. so it just feels as hollow as he looked yesterday. ]

[Kon just doesn't get a break, does he?

Hilariously, Lalli had been coming here looking for something, but as soon as he sees Kon in here he stops with that train of thought entirely.]

Kon? Are you okay?

[He's worried about Kon's injuries from yesterday opening up. Which means he's absolutely wandering over to look at Kon's hands as he bandages himself up.]

Week 6, post-trial

[Unlike the previous two weeks, Lalli isn't going to wait around for Kon this time. Probably something to do with all the bad feelings this week.

But much later, he'll text Kon.]

[ this isn't a real pc, this is just for anybody who comes to read this catchall that once everything is said and done - once kon's done cooking for all of his important people from the daycare, once they've caught up with people, once they've answered questions and been called stupid - it's naptime.

where? doesn't matter. but i wouldn't be shocked if they were like this. ]

ANYWAY that is absolutely how they're curled up, probably in a sunny spot tucked away somewhere on campus. But Lalli is also going to make sure his cloak is over them like a blanket.

...a kind of small blanket for this. But if he's curled up against Kon's chest and the cloak is over Kon then it's fine, it counts as a blanket.]

Week 7, post-trial (?)

[Well. When that's over, Lalli is going to grab for Kon's hand to try and tug him along.]

Come on. It's time for food.

[ kon washes his hands of all responsibility, now that the revisions were accepted, and allows himself to be lead off from the ""trial."" ]
